Group Wonder Girls plan to start their U.S. promotion in the 2nd half of 2012.
The American media outlet ‘Kansas City’ reported on the 26th, “Wonder Girls will conclude their Korean promotion soon and come back to the U.S. for the 2nd half of 2012. They’ve released a duet song with Akon and the girls plan to promote themselves through diverse mediums including television and films.”
First off, Wonder Girls will be performing with Akon in collaboration stages. With the new song ‘Like Money’ the girls will perform in many events and concerts. The new single will also be released in the U.S. to kickoff a major promotion later this year.
Wonder Girls will also be seen on TV on a regular basis. The girls have officially signed up with the U.S. cable channel ‘Nickelodeon’ for a 20 episode sitcom. This October the Wonder Girls will also become the first K-Pop group to film a Hollywood movie, in what looks to be a massive effort to launch their U.S. career.
In a related news, Wonder Girls will be performing in the ‘JYP Nation’ concert on August 4th in Seoul.
