Looks like the Wonder Girls are returning to the motherland with a bang!
According to a report by Sports Seoul, the pop group that took Korea by storm a year back (time flies…) will be making their comeback to the domestic front at the Dream Concert this May. For those of you that aren’t familiar with this event, the Dream Concert is an annual event that features around twenty of kpop’s hottest artists in an epic night of performances in front of an audience of 40,000 people. The 2009 Dream Concert featured a whopping nineteen artists and was definitely a spectacle to behold.
Sports Seoul stated that the girls will be releasing a new album in May with songs in Korean, English & Mandarin versions. Furthermore, the quintet had plans for Korean promotions for 2-3 weeks in order to reach out to their fans back home, and will likely use the Dream Concert stage as their live comeback. “The probability of the Wonder Girls participating at the dream concert is very high,” an organizer recently stated.
And with good reason – considering the fact that this will be the return of one of Korea’s top girl groups after over a year (and with a new member), there’s no doubt that this would be a stage that will draw in lots of attention from both Wonderfuls and kpop fans in general. JYP Entertainment has yet to confirm this information so it’s not set in stone as of yet, but with the girls’ comeback in general well underway, fans have a lot to be excited about!
